About the Perry N. Rudnick Nature Trail
The Perry N. Rudnick Nature Trail, a one mile trail, winds through wildflower meadows, hardwood and rhododendron forests and fern and trillium wetlands. The Carolina Mountain Club volunteered hundreds of hours to construct the trail with bridges over streams and boardwalks over wetland. Over 55 species of birds have been seen along the trail. Through a special program, public art will be added to the trail each year. Fiddleheads by Asheville artist Harry McDaniel were installed in the spring of 2003. The trail offers a welcomed diversion for meetings and retreats. |
